Recently, a new cleantech technology arrived in Israel – a closed automatic system for cleaning fuel tanks called BLABO. The new technology makes it possible to clean sludge and oil from crude fuel storage tanks, automatically, without human intervention and without leaving the fuel tanks open, so that the emissions of fuel vapors into the air during cleaning are significantly reduced. In addition, the system has a safety advantage since there is no need to bring workers into the tank to perform the cleaning work and all in a much faster time period than the conventional methods for cleaning fuel tanks, and most importantly – at a competitive price.

The BLABO system is designed for cleaning large fuel storage vessels that are difficult to clean, mainly crude oil or fuel oil. The system was specially designed for cleaning large volume tanks in which sludge and oil deposits remain and is suitable for tanks with a floating roof as well as a fixed roof.

30 years of experience in cleaning fuel tanks

The Israeli company that brought the closed automatic system for cleaning fuel tanks is Mish Market and Trade – Industrial Wastewater Cleaning and Purification, which specializes in providing solutions for the petrochemical and energy industries in Israel. M.I.S. has 2 divisions, the first and older one is the execution division, which specializes in cleaning fuel tanks and special works in the environmental sector. Whereas the second division operates a facility for cleaning and treating industrial wastewater, especially wastewater containing hydrocarbon loads, fuel-contaminated water, and emulsions. The facility is located in the northern industrial zone of Ashdod and operates under all the required permits.
