Industrial wastewater treatment at the company's facility
Mish Marketing and Trade Ltd. is the owner and operator of an industrial wastewater treatment and recycling facility in the northern industrial zone of Ashdod. Since its establishment, the company has received large quantities of mineral wastewater from cleaning fuel tanks, fuel separators, petrochemical facilities, the chip processing industry, drilling rigs and industries. Misc. In order to maintain professionalism along with safety and environmental protection, the manner in which waste water received by our company is treated is adapted to the strictest quality procedures.
The facility was designed to provide an answer to the petrochemical industry with high pollution levels and rates and in a variety of streams, while meeting the requirements of the Ministry of Environmental Protection and the Water Corporation.
In 2016, the company received a horizontal manager’s approval, from the hazardous waste commissioner.
The company’s skilled and professional employees, with a lot of seniority and experience, go through a large number of trainings in the field of safety, transportation of hazardous materials, handling incidents involving hazardous materials, confined spaces, working at height, emergency drills, periodic medical examinations, and more.
All company drivers and tankers are approved and authorized to transport hazardous materials, with all the permits required by law, and this as part of the company’s efforts to maintain safety and the quality of the environment. The company’s activities are anchored in ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001 quality standards. Mish Marketing and Trade Ltd. operates an advanced facility for the recycling of commercial waste and industrial wastewater.
The facility was designed and upgraded with the most advanced technologies in order to meet the requirements of the Ministry of Environmental Protection. The facility is based on physico-chemical and biological processes such as: a three-phase centrifuge (tricanter) that collects wastewater with a high concentration of organic matter that includes both sludge, oil and aqueous phases in which the three phases are separated. Treatment using heating and demulsifiers for the purpose of ‘breaking’ emulsions and separating the water from the oil. In addition to this, there is also a flotation and sedimentation facility that collects wastewater with lower concentrations of organic matter and mainly separates colloidal material that can be settled or flocculated through coagulation and flocculation processes. Furthermore, in order to treat the dissolved organic load, the facility has an aerobic biological reactor designed to remove dissolved organic compounds by means of biomass that can oxidize/recycle various compounds and thus remove them from the water or transform them from toxic and dangerous compounds to compounds that are non-toxic and can be released into the environment. However, there are other technologies that are integrated at the end of a sequence of all physicochemical/biological treatments, such as a vacuum ionization device and reverse osmosis.
The facility receives mineral wastewater
from a wide variety of factories
The streams entering the facility are mostly from the machining industry, from cleaning the fuel tanks, garages, fuel separators,
Groundwater, drilling rigs and petrochemical facilities. The facility has a horizontal manager’s approval and a toxics permit for all activities.
